Imadol is our own neighbourhood. The workshop and showroom sit at Boje Pokhari, a few minutes off the Gwarko–Imadol road, and most of the furniture you see in Imadol homes between Sanepa Height, Tikathali chowk and the Manohara side has passed through this yard on a handcart or a pickup. Being local means you can walk in mid-build, put your hand on the frame and change the arm height of a sofa before the foam goes on — something no showroom reselling imported flat-pack can offer.
Housing here is mixed and changing fast. The older lanes off the main road still hold three and four storey individual houses on 4 to 8 aana plots, with generous 12x14 ft bedrooms and stair landings wide enough for a full-size double bed to go up in one piece. Newer construction along the Imadol–Balkumari stretch is tighter: 1.5 to 2.5 aana houses and small apartment blocks with rooms closer to 10x11 ft, where a 7 ft wardrobe with sliding shutters saves the door-swing space a hinged unit would eat.
A lot of Imadol households are also landlords letting the upper floors to families working in Koteshwor and Kupondole. That drives steady demand for durable, plain-finished flats furniture — single beds, two-door wardrobes, compact study tables — that survives tenant turnover. We keep those pieces in ready stock at the showroom so a landlord can furnish a flat between two tenancies in a couple of days.
Logistics
Everything is built at Boje Pokhari, Imadol and moved by our own team — no third-party handling between the workshop and your Imadol address.
Delivery inside Imadol is free and usually same-day or next-day. Nothing in the ward is more than about 2 km from Boje Pokhari, so a two-man team walks or takes the pickup and is at your gate within 30 to 45 minutes of loading. For anything within roughly 500 metres of the workshop — Boje Pokhari, the pond area lanes, the Siddhartha school side — we often carry pieces by hand rather than waiting for a vehicle.
Because the workshop is here, Imadol customers get the fastest repairs and adjustments in the Valley. A sticking wardrobe shutter, a hinge that drops after monsoon swelling, or a sofa cover that needs re-stretching gets a carpenter at your door the same week, at no charge inside the joinery warranty.
