A bed has to hold weight quietly for a decade. We build ours from seasoned hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery instead of the knock-down bolts used in imported flat-pack beds, which loosen after a year of use and start creaking every time you turn.
Bed prices depend on size, wood and hardware — from a plain queen frame to a king-size hydraulic storage bed in teak with an upholstered headboard. Mattresses are sold separately so you are not forced into a bundle you do not want; call us and we will quote a fixed price for exactly what you need.
Storage beds matter in Kathmandu. Valley flats rarely have a loft or basement, and a hydraulic bed base swallows two quilts, a suitcase and the winter blankets you only need for two months a year.

How to choose a bed in Nepal
Room size before bed size
A king bed needs a 12ft x 11ft room to still allow a wardrobe door to open. In a 10ft x 10ft room a queen with side storage is the smarter choice.
Storage type: hydraulic vs drawers
Hydraulic lifts give more volume and suit quilts; drawers are cheaper and better for daily-use clothes. Drawers need 2ft clearance in front — check against your wardrobe.
Mattress firmness
Medium-firm suits most adults; go firm if you have back pain. Foam is better in damp ground-floor rooms, pocket spring is better for couples.
Ply base or slats
We use ventilated ply bases with breather holes rather than sealed sheets, so trapped monsoon moisture escapes instead of growing mould under the mattress.
Material and finish options

- Teak: dimensionally stable and beautiful with age — the premium choice, priced 60–90% above Sal.
- Commercial and BWP plywood for bases and drawer boxes, edge-banded on all visible faces.
- Finishes: PU matt, PU gloss, melamine, or natural oil. Duco paint available in any shade.
Care and maintenance in Nepal's climate
- Tighten frame bolts once a year — easiest before Dashain cleaning.
- Flip and rotate a foam mattress every three months; rotate (do not flip) pocket spring units.
- Open the storage base for an hour on dry days during monsoon to air the cavity.
- Keep the bed a few inches off outer walls in ground-floor rooms to prevent damp transfer.

Beds are delivered knock-down and assembled in your room, so no stair fits are a problem.
Two-year joinery warranty on frames, one year on hydraulic hardware, and mattress warranty as per manufacturer.
Payment by Cash, Bank transfer, eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay. Deliveries to Pokhara, Chitwan, Butwal, Biratnagar, Dharan, Birgunj are arranged through our cargo partners at actual freight cost.
